The very first Porsche ever produced was the Type 64, launched in 1939. Considered by many to be the grandfather of all subsequent Porsche models, the 64 was light years ahead of its time. Sporting an early incarnation of the now famous sporty and aerodynamic Porsche body design, the car was beautifully crafted, both inside and out. Ferdinand Porsche himself would often drive the car around, so proud was he of his creation.

Now we can’t possibly talk about Porsche without discussing the 911 which, as well as being a classic Porsche design, is also one of the most iconic and instantly recognisable sports cars ever produced by any manufacturer. Launched in 1963, the high-performance 2-door sports car has undergone continuous development throughout the last half-century. However, because the basic concept has remained largely the same, all versions of the 911 are bound together by an undeniable timelessness.

Finally, we have Porsche’s first foray into the SUV market. The highly-anticipated Porsche Cayenne was first unveiled in 2002. Porsche’s first off-road vehicle since its ‘Super’ and ‘Junior’ tractors of the 1950s, the Cayenne has proved to be a great success, with critics praising its excellent handling, powerful engine and luxurious interior.
